Qatar Mission in Geneva celebrates the National Day of the State of Qatar

 The Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva celebrated on December 11th the National Day of the State of Qatar. The Ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries, including heads of UN agencies in Geneva, ambassadors and delegations accredited to the United Nations, officials from the Geneva government, and media representatives.

Following the national anthem, H. E. Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al-Mansouri, the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva, delivered a welcoming speech to the guests in which he recalled the memory of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani , the founder  of the State of Qatar, and he extended heartfelt congratulations and sincere wishes to H.H. the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, H.H. the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and to the people of Qatar.

In his speech, HE Ambassador focused on the noble meaning of the 2019 National Day slogan, stressing that this meaning is reflected in the lasting cohesion between Qatari people and their good leadership in countering all challenges and thwarting all plans aimed at undermining the solidarity that binds all layers of society. He added: “This has contributed to realizing honourable achievements in all spheres of life and the well-being and prosperity for the nation, the citizens and the residents alike”.

HE Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri concluded his speech by stating that the Qataris are celebrating their National Day this year as the State of Qatar continues its constant search to be better so that the hard path becomes easier thanks to the cohesion between the people and their wise leadership and that the State of Qatar remains safe and prosperous.
