Qatar Affirms Peace is Only Way to Protect Children Affected by Armed Conflicts

The State of Qatar called on all parties of the armed conflict to immediately stop any attacks on educational facilities and to prevent their use for military purposes, and stressed the importance of collecting data on attacks on education in order to enhance the monitoring process, assist in investigations and hold perpetrators accountable, pointing out to the attention Qatar paid to the category of children and the importance of keeping them away from the dangers of war as part of its efforts to bring peace to the conflicts it mediated.








Human Rights Committee in Geneva Reviews Initial Report of the State of Qatar

HE the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized before the Human Rights Committee that the State of Qatar considers the process of reviewing the reports by treaty bodies a valuable opportunity for proper assessment and analysis of the State's conditions in order to continuously improve its internal practices in the field of human rights


Qatar Participates in Conference on Disarmament in Geneva

HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of fully complying with all commitments contained in the international instruments concerned with nuclear disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation, and renewed the State of Qatar's commitment to work with the international community for the complete elimination of nuclear weapons and the achievement of regional and international peace and security.
