HE the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized before the Human Rights Committee that the State of Qatar considers the process of reviewing the reports by treaty bodies a valuable opportunity for proper assessment and analysis of the State's conditions in order to continuously improve its internal practices in the field of human rights


Qatar Participates in Conference on Disarmament in Geneva

HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of fully complying with all commitments contained in the international instruments concerned with nuclear disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation, and renewed the State of Qatar's commitment to work with the international community for the complete elimination of nuclear weapons and the achievement of regional and international peace and security.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stresses, before the Human Rights Council in Geneva, the need to commit to the Charter of the United Nations and the established principles of international law, including obligations under the Charter to settle international disputes by peaceful means, to refrain from the threat or use of force, and to adhere to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of States.
