Since December 2008, Switzerland has acceded to the Schengen Agreement on the movement of persons from the European Union, where there will be no problem in crossing the Swiss border from other European Union countries, including the Schengen.

An concerning the goods, Switzerland is not a member of the EU Convention on the Transport of Goods, and therefore there are customs restrictions on the transport of goods to and from Switzerland to the rest of the EU Countries.
