The State of Qatar reiterated its full support for Libya's Government of National Accord and for all international mediation efforts aiming to complete the path of political transition, establish security and stability, combat terrorism and extremism in Libya and to support the Libyan people out of their crisis as well as achieving the desired consensus in order to preserve the unity and sovereignty of Libya.

The State of Qatar reiterated its firms stances towards the Palestinian cause and its full support for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and ending the occupation, stressing its backing for achieving a Palestinian national reconciliation and unity among the Palestinian people so as to liberate it and establish an independent sovereign state with East Jerusalem as its capital based on 1967 borders.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) Director- General HE Roberto Azevedo has met with HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri .

The State of Qatar underlined that the ongoing policies of the Israeli occupation, which have caused high unemployment among the Palestinian youth and the loss of security and the necessities of a decent life, especially in the Gaza Strip, complicate the possibility of reaching a solution to the Palestinian issue and highly escalate the situation.

The State of Qatar reiterated its support to all efforts aimed at reaching a political solution in the Syrian conflict based on the terms of Geneva 1 communique and the relevant Security Council resolutions.

The State of Qatar has asserted that since June it has been subjected to unilateral coercive measures and unjust siege by some countries in the region, which have resulted in serious and persistent violations of human rights that have not yet received sufficient consideration and attention from the mechanisms of the United Nations Human Rights Council

The State of Qatar called on the United Nations Human Rights Council to take an urgent action to stop the violations resulting from the unilateral coercive measures and the unjust siege imposed by a number of countries on the State of Qatar, and to end the ongoing and increasing suffering of those affected by siege.

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri stressed that countries that practice intellectual terrorism against their citizens and even deny the rights to express any opinion contrary to their policies must consider their records and rectify their situation instead of wrongfully blaming others.

Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani has underlined that Qatar's national, regional and international bias towards human rights, public opinion and the right of peoples to self-determination is one of the most important reasons for attempts to impose guardianship on it and to influence its foreign policy independence and its media.

HE Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office and International Organizations in Geneva, met with HRH Prince Zeid Ra'ad Al-Hussein, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
